Why Montessori Elementary?

Why Montessori Elementary?

The Early Elementary guides, Jennifer Finan and Saren Peetz, invite parents of children under 7 years, and those who missed last year’s event, to a presentation that reveals the changing developmental needs of the child as they enter the second plane of development (6+ to 12 years).

Learn how a Montessori elementary classroom responds to the needs for academic skills, creativity, increasing independence, social relationships, moral development, and lighting the spark for passionate exploration of the Universe.

See You at Our Annual Harvest Festival!

See You at Our Annual Harvest Festival!

Our Adolescent Community invites you to bring your family, friends, and neighbors to our Huntsburg Campus to connect with community, play, visit the animals, eat, and explore our internationally renowned Montessori farm school.

There is no cost to come, but there are opportunities to support the student’s microeconomy by purchasing food, produce, or student-made products.

Our adolescents integrate this event’s planning, social organization and economics into their classes and community work time for many weeks. This is a beautiful experience for them to host guests, work hard, and experience valorization for their efforts.

Contact our Huntsburg Office at 440-636-6290 with any questions.

Montessori education can begin as early as infancy at Hershey Montessori School. What many Montessori parents and students love is that the same great Montessori education, community, and prepared environments don’t have to end after the first or even second plane of development. World-renowned Hershey Montessori School has a full birth through 12th grade continuum of rich, Montessori education in beautiful northeast Ohio.

Find out how Montessori aids the growth of children and adolescents to become productive thinkers, problem-solvers, organizers, communicators, creators, responsible community members, and global citizens.

Coming to Wine and Cheese? Yes, Please!

Coming to Wine and Cheese? Yes, Please!

Join Paula Leigh-Doyle, Head of School, at either campus along with other Hershey parents for wine, cheese, and conversation.

Parents of students of all ages, and from both campuses are welcome to come to either event.

What happens at these gatherings?

Our aim is to come to know each other more in a small group conversation setting while discovering ways to support our children’s experience in Montessori, in the home and beyond. The conversation or activity is determined by the group and can include any of the following:

  • Meet and talk with other parents, perhaps some who have been parenting and in Montessori for a longer time. Share collective parenting wisdom and take some time to recognize our challenging and important work as parents!
  • Explore some other interesting Montessori materials or things that you have been wondering about such as raising children in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
  • Propose areas of interest, and questions, and share feedback about your experiences as a parent.

Choose either event based on your preference:

  • Friday, September 22, 2023, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at our Concord Campus located at 10229 Prouty Road in Concord Township
  • Friday, October 6, 2023, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at our Huntsburg Campus located at 11530 Madison Road in Huntsburg Township
