Children experience a calm, joyful routine from arrival to departure, whenever that may be.We understand leaving your child during the work day is difficult, and you want them to be in a fun, stimulating, secure environment they enjoy.
When you arrive to pick up your child in After Care, you may often hear them say, “I don’t want to leave yet!”
During Before and After Care programs adults work side by side with the children to ensure the continuity of Montessori values and principles. Children in the Young Child Community program remain in the same classroom for Before and After Care as they do during the school day to minimize change and increase their sense of security. Older children transition to a different room and set of guides for Before and After Care programs.
Before and After Care activities include:
- Exploration of the wide open spaces of our campuses by taking woodland hikes, playing ball games or for older students, simply creating their own adventure
- Games and unstructured playtime to enjoy the climbing apparatuses, parachutes, kites, ball games, sidewalk art, nature art and natural treasure hunts
- Preparing and enjoying a healthy, fresh snack in the afternoon
- Older children enjoy a choice of activities including crafts, open-ended toys, board games, chess and other strategy games
- Every activity and environment continues to encourage learning empathy, kindness, respect and courtesy

Early Start
Time: 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Late Dismissal
Time: 3:30 p.m. – 4:40 p.m.
Time: 4:40 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

After Care
Programs Served: Children’s House and Elementary
Time: 3:30 p.m. – 4:40 p.m.
Block II
Programs Served: Children’s House, Elementary and Adolescent
Time: 4:40 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Note: After Care is currently available only at our Concord Campus. Adolescent students may utilize the intercampus shuttle for transportation to Concord after school.
