Summit for Education and Peace
Hershey Montessori Adolescent Community will be hosting The Summit for Education and Peace March 6-7, 2025. The Summit for Education and Peace is a day-and-a-half-long student-led and student-centered conference seeking to create collaboration and inquiry into topics related to education and peace. A special focus is the role of global medicine and how global response to health concerns impacts peace in the world.
Students will gather from numerous Montessori Middle School programs at the Hershey Montessori School Huntsburg Campus to share ideas, hear knowledgeable speakers, and connect socially as we address questions, such as:
- How do pandemics and pathogens affect our lives, past and present?
- How is global medicine a key element of creating a more peaceful world?
- How do we educate to ‘increase the peace’ in the world?
The Summit will include keynote speakers, student presentations, social activities, workshops, and other ways to interact.
