Yvonne Delgado Thomas
Director of Development
Yvonne grew up and resides in Geauga County. She attended Kent State University where she earned her undergraduate degree in education (teaching license grades 7-12 English), Youngstown State with a master’s in education administration (principal license), and Cleveland State for post-graduate work (superintendent’s license). Yvonne worked 14 years as a public school administrator through Lake County ESC, 4 years as a corporate and foundation relations officer at Kent State University, and 8 years as the director of development at The Fine Arts Association. Yvonne is a graduate of Leadership Lake County – class of 2020 and is in the 2022 cohort of “100+ Latinos Cleveland Must Know”. She currently serves on the United Way of Lake County board, director’s council, grants review committee, and as UWLC’s Women United Chairperson. She regularly participates as a grant reviewer for the Ohio Arts Council. Outside her development work, Yvonne is an artist and owns Vonnie’s Art. She is known for her painted rain barrels, nature-based artwork, and interactive art classes. Yvonne is proud of her two sons – one of whom is married and serves in the Navy and the other a recent Army veteran and student at the College of Charleston. At home, Yvonne enjoys time with her husband and her horses, dogs, and cats on their peaceful Mini-Maple Farm. There, she makes maple syrup and gardens. She also enjoys exercising, cooking, and is in a book club. Yvonne is grateful to be part of this beautiful Hershey Montessori community focused on nurturing and developing children and youth into young people prepared to navigate today’s complex world.
